WheelTug

The WheelTug system enables aircraft to manoeuvre and taxi on the ground without running their engines or using tow tugs. This saves fuel, reduces engine and brake wear, eliminates current pushback risk and costs, and reduces the time aircraft spend on the ground. The primary savings are in reduced ground times, which improve aircraft utilisation rates and passenger comfort. Benefits will increase as procedures, schedules and other aspects of airport and airline operations integrate WheelTug. The system can be quickly retrofitted to existing aircraft and is fully removable.
